One of the greatest athletes ever, Serena Williams and her daughter, Olympia, are taking the fashion world by storm to the delight of their millions of fans all over.

The tennis star has long been a global spokeswoman for fashion giant, Stuart Weitzman, but in her latest photoshoot with the luxury shoe brand, she shared the spotlight with her daughter. The mother-daughter duo starred in a Spring 2021 campaign called “Footsteps to Follow.” Photos from the shoot, which took place at their home, show the duo playing around and bantering on set while wearing matching outfits. Williams even went so far as to call her daughter “my mini-me.” Williams, who is also a global ambassador for the brand, is seen wearing a long-sleeve white dress during one scene of the campaign and in another set of photos, they both are wearing black full bodysuits along with matching shoes.

“Being on set with Olympia to shoot this campaign meant so much to me, and it is a moment together I will never forget,” she said. “She is Mini Serena; she’s so cute, and she’s so fun.” Though Olympia is clearly eager to follow her mom’s lead in nearly every aspect at this point. Williams said she’s not sure whether or not she wants her daughter to embark on a similar path to hers, at least career-wise.
“I don’t know if I hope if Olympia follows in my footsteps, I want her to do whatever she wants to do and what’s best for her.”

Williams is also seen in several other looks from Weitzman’s upcoming line, including everything from gladiator-style sandals to square toe flat sandals. “I created this collection with an intentional, artful approach to design, engineering and craftsmanship,” said Edmundo Castillo, Stuart Weitzman global head of design. “The styles offer a renewed and emboldened sense of functionality and fashion to elevate the casual elegance of the modern woman.”

Coupled with the amazing new campaign images and the fresh lineup of shoes, the company is also continuing an ongoing philanthropic partnership with Vital Voices Global Partnership, an international nonprofit committed to investing in women leaders who use their voices to drive social change in their communities. Additionally, Williams and Weitzman have partnered with founder and CEO of InHerShoes Movement, Judith Martinez, as the Stuart Weitzman x Vital Voices fifth grant recipient. InHerShoes nonprofit is centered on empowering the next generation of girls and women to live beyond fear and redefine their futures through one question: “What would you do if you were one percent more courageous?”

While this marks the first shared fashion campaign for the pair, it’s not their first fashion moment together. Back in 2019, Williams and her daughter walked the runway at New York Fashion Week for Williams’ own S label.
Williams who said her daughter loves fashion so much, revealed that princess dresses are her favourite.
