Femi Aguda, the CEO of the United States-based real estate firm, Block 22 Realty LL, has implored Nigerian youths to take their destiny in their hands.

The realtor, who was recently awarded an honorary doctorate degree at Myles Leadership University in Business Administration, started his company five years ago, two years after relocating to the US from the UK where he had bagged a degree in business from the Welsh-based Cardiff Metropolitan University.

Aguda, born Aguda Olufemi Michael, has steered Block 22 Realty LL to success. The entrepreneur has consistently emphasised on goal setting and working towards achieving them, driving, motivating, as well as orientation; all of which he said can help in making targets and reaching them.

Aguda, who has been impacting youths in the country through seminars, consistently underlines the importance of self-development in business and generally in life.

“Many people’s problem is their ignorance. Read informative, educative and life transforming books, I promise you your life will be transformed and you will experience positive change,” Aguda pointed out.

Continuing, he said: “You need a mentor. Note that the greatest footballer of all time has a coach. No great athlete that we know today succeeds by themselves. They all have a coach who coached them to greatness. The same applies in business and in life.

“Third, dreams don’t work unless you do. The way you know a driver is that he drives, a speaker speaks, a businessman do business. So don’t just dream, work, roll up your sleeves and soil your hands, to make it happen,” added Aguda.

The positive influence the Block 22 Realty LL CEO has been and the difference he is making reverberate all around. He was recently awarded a honorary doctorate degree in business administration by Myles Leadership University, in recognition for the impact and knowledge he is bequeathing to the youths.

Aguda began his entrepreneurial journey before leaving Nigeria when he co-founded Cokodeal.com. He further urged youths to increase the capacity of the value they give, adding that they cannot provide the same level of solution and expect wealth.

“You don’t keep doing what you were doing before and expect different results. The level of results, wealth and impact you desire will be a result of the level of problems you solve,” Aguda submitted.

Speaking further, he said, “Increase the quality or quantity of problems you solve and automatically you increase your results. Don’t be afraid to take baby steps daily towards achieving your goals. Remember you were once a baby. Think big, start small and grow massive.”
