Femi Fani Kayode is bereaved

Life is like a lottery; sometimes there are winnings and sometimes there are losses.

This metaphor would not be lost on a former minister of Aviation, Femi Fani-Kayode, who on Monday lost his mother-in-law (mother of his beauty queen wife, Precious Chikwendu).

He made the announcement on his Twitter page, saying: “It is with a heavy heart, but in total submission to the Will of God, that I announce the passing of my mother-in-law, Mrs. Leticia Chikwendu, after a brief illness.

“Mama was wonderful. She fought a good fight and stood firm in the faith. Sleep on, daughter of Zion, until we meet again.”

However, the cause of her death is yet to be revealed by the family. There were rumours of marital crisis between Femi and the mother of his only son some time ago.
