As friends all over the world prepare to celebrate the World Friendship Day tomorrow, July 30, beer brand, “33” Export Lager, a staple from Nigerian Breweries, is set to bring thousands of friends, music lovers, fun enthusiasts and lovers of the lager beer to the ‘City of Friends’.

The event, which began on Friday, July 28, at the Beachfront, Behind Landmark Event Centre, Oniru Estate, Lagos is a 72-hour non-stop friendship experience, as friends in nation’s commercial capital will be hosted in an atmosphere of loyalty, fun, companionship, and goodwill.

The experience has been featuring musical performances from top artistes and disc jockeys in the city, and would climax tomorrow with energetic performances from afrobeat legend, Femi Kuti; 2Baba, 9ice, Phyno, Flavour, Seyi Shay, MI Abaga, Cynthia Morgan, Small Doctor, DJs Neptune and Lambo among others.

Highlighting the objective of the event, the Marketing Director, Nigerian Breweries Plc Franco Maria Maggi said, “We are taking advantage of this globally recognized day of friendship to deepen the brand’s core proposition to its consumers”

The Portfolio Manager, Mainstream Lager and Stout, Nigerian Breweries, Emmanuel Agu, on his part explained that the event is a platform to encourage friends to celebrate one another, and highlight the time-tested values of friendship, adding that the three-day event will bring together friends from across the country to celebrate the values of friendship in an atmosphere of music, dance and fun.

“The City of Friends provides all Nigerians the opportunity to celebrate the value of friendship in an atmosphere of fun, games, and music. For three days, consumers and friends of “33” Export will come together in the spirit of fun, companionship, and goodwill, courtesy of the No. 1 Friendship Beer,” he said.

Agu noted that the World Friendship Day is a day set aside by the United Nations to promote the role of friendship in fostering peace in many cultures across the world.
