After a meteoric debut as a musician, with the release of his Love, Is Not Enough (LINE) EP earlier this year, the floodgates of fame opened for John-Saviours Udomboso, professionally known as Young Jonn.

The Chocolate City singer and music producer shocked the music community with his hits such as Dada, Normally, and Xtra Cool, among others.

Now, less than a year after its prequel, Young Jonn returns with a follow-up 6-tracker EP dubbed, Love Is Not Enough Vol. 2 (LINE), which includes the Davido-assisted mega-hit, Dada Remix. For Young Jonn, it has been a defining career moment, with his transition as a musician; the hitmaker joins the league of contemporaries including Pheelz, KDDO, and Maleek Berry, among others, who successfully moved from solely being a producer to being a musician.

Interestingly, since YoungJonn joined the Chocolate City label, earlier this year, he has achieved a myriad of streaming feats, including peaking on prestigious national charts such as the Apple Music Top 100 Nigeria.

With Love Is Not Enough Vol 2, he follows closely with the love-and-life theme that shapes the prequel; with the three added songs – Sokoto, If You Leave, and Xtra Cool, bolstering the vibrancy of the project. It is not clear whether the singer intends to create a trilogy or longer series with the Love Is Not Enough theme.

However, it is glaring that he is an adherent of that school of thought that has seen artistes like Ckay, Joeboy, and Fireboy, among others, remain household voices as preachers of love, amplifying its many highs and lows.

Love Is Not Enough Vol 2 is out across streaming platforms.
