Abba Makama’s directorial debut, Green White Green, which had a successful world premiere at the just held Toronto International Film Festival (TIFF), opened the Nigerian domiciled Light, Camera, Africa Film Festival (LCA) yesterday.

The festival opened at the Federal Palace Hotel and it will run until October 2.

The movie had an impressive showing at the TIFF and was described by critics at cinemaaxis.com as an energetic comedy that celebrates the importance of youths in Lagos.

The Jos, Plateau State-born Abba hinted shortly before the premiere at TIFF that the next stop for the film would be a screening at the Beyond Nollywood-BFI Southbank Black Star Season programme curated by Nadia Denton and at the Stockholm International Film Festival, both holding next month.
