Gtext, mastering real estate craft attempt Guinness World Record

Having operated in the real estate sector for 10 years with significant strides of growth and strategic developments, including expansion to USA, Dubai, Doha, UK, others, Gtext Homes and Gtext Land, both Nigeria sister companies under Gtext Holdings are set to make a historic attempt of the Guinness World Record for the ‘Largest Real Estate Conference in the World in a Tent’ on Saturday, December 20, 2025.

This monumental event is set to host an unprecedented 10,000 physical participants, alongside a staggering 100,000 virtual attendees, showcasing the immense scale and influence of Nigeria’s real estate sector.

The founder, Gtext Holdings, Dr Stephen Akintayo and his team, made this announcement recently in Lagos while also revealing major corporate development including the acquisition of a new company with a strong Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) license, the launch of a new subsidiary, and key corporate structuring updates.

According to Akintayo, the successful acquisition of the new company with a SEC licence in Nigeria is a testament of the company’s commitment to regulatory compliance and vision for more expansive and trustworthy investment platform.

“We are now awaiting SEC’s approval for a new name for this licensed entity, which will be a significant step in our strategic rebranding and business growth. This new license will enable the company to diversify its investment offerings, providing greater opportunities for investors to participate in regulated and secure financial instruments beyond its core real estate business.”

Meanwhile, Akintayo also seized the moment to clarify that Gtext USA is a distinct entity from Gtext Nigeria, though affiliated entities. “It is important for us to distinguish between our operations in different geographical markets. We have teams in different part of the countries we expanded to with different boards. The idea is to have the operations seamlessly working and running on their own without interference from Nigeria. Hence, Gtext USA is a separate and distinct entity from Gtext Nigeria. While both are part of the larger Gtext global brand and share a common vision, they operate under their own independent regulatory frameworks and market conditions. This strategic separation allows us to better serve our diverse clientele and navigate the specific legal and economic landscapes of each country, ensuring localised expertise and optimised services for our investors both in the United States and in Nigeria.”

The Gtext boss also revealed that while he is still a major shareholder in Gtext Holdings, his new role is Chairman of SACI Holdings, a private equity firm that oversees and invests in a diverse portfolio of companies. “Our private equity structure allows us to identify, acquire, and grow high-potential businesses across various sectors, creating significant value for our investors and stakeholders. Gtext Holdings’ recent developments are a direct reflection of SACI Holdings’ strategic investment and guidance, and we look forward to announcing further acquisitions and growth initiatives in the future.”

The event also served as a moment to celebrate the company’s long-serving employees, highlighting a culture of loyalty and growth.
