Erelu Bisi Adeleye-Fayemi, wife of former governor of Ekiti State, Dr. Kayode Fayemi, now Minister of Mining and Natural Resources, is truly an enterprising woman. Since her husband left office as governor, Bisi has been engaged in several vocations that have come to fruition.

A few months ago, she launched her blog, Above Whispers.com, an initiative designed to mobilise resources for women movements. Bisi, a well-known women rights advocate, international development specialist and social entrepreneur, has now delved into fashion, with special focus on Gele line, Skente (head tie), which is up for launch soon.

Erelu has traversed the globe in her 53 years eventful odyssey. Within the period, she has touched lives and interfaced with a broad spectrum of the African societies through philanthropy, empowerment, mentoring, organisational development, training and networking.

An alumnus of Obafemi Awolowo University (OAU), Ile-Ife, Nigeria, she also attended Middlesex University in the UK for postgraduate studies. Today, she has left an imprint in Ekiti State, where she founded the Ekiti Development Foundation, a platform she used to raise the socio-economic status of the women of the state and beyond.
