From hosting a talent discovery programme, to the premiere of his latest movie Wede in Uromi, Lancelot who is popular as the D’Guvnor also hosted a novelty football match played between notable comedians and Nollywood actors.

On Thursday, the filmmaker led colleagues and friends to visit two orphanages—Aid For Change and Amadin Orphanage in his home state, Edo State. The kids were happy to receive items such as mattresses, toiletries, a deep freezer, cartoons of noodles, a deep freezer and a bag of rice from the filmmaker who described his time with the children as one of the best moments of his life.

“I am sincerely grateful to God for attaining this milestone and like I earlier stated, my birthday is centred on the state of the nation and giving back from the little I have to the orphanage homes is a way of showing gratitude and appreciation to God. Everybody deserves to be loved and I will try my best to share the ones I can,’’ the filmmaker said.

The grand finale comes up on June 20. It will be preceded by a cultural night and symposium.
