Needless to say that Africa by virtue of its rich culture and tradition have immeasurable interior designs that are unparalleled.

This is why iDESIGN by Tola Akerele has partnered with Ebony Life to bring Eko Design in order to showcase homegrown interior designs by indigenous talents.

The exhibition also aims to create an environment where the creative industry, local designers and architects can come together to form strong business relationships within the Lagos design community.

Speaking during the three-day event, which commenced on Thursday, October 21 to end today, at the Victoria Hall, EbonyLife Place, Victoria Island, Lagos, Akerele said the idea of Eko Design is to showcase homegrown talents.

“To let the world see that Nigeria has original designs in terms of furniture and lighting inspired by what is around us. We have designers who are passionate about what they are doing using local designs. Eko Design is the next in the Eko series. These events have been sponsored by Lagos State and the aim is to highlight the best of Nigeria’s flourishing creative industries.
