The Mile Two lions have won this year’s Amuwo Games held on Sunday, November 2019 with the highest number of Gold medals.

The Mile Two lions have won this year’s Amuwo Games held on Sunday, November 2019 with the highest number of Gold medals.

Over 150 medals were presented to the winning athlete from eight teams in over 16 tournaments that they participated in. Participants and panelist were drawn form various parts of Amuwo-Odofin with over 2000 people cheering the medalists.

Staged at Amuwo-Odofin Primary School playground, the event attracted so much diversity in colors and age ranged owed to the various colors of the teams.

The major highlight of the day was the presentation of prizes to the medalists, which included the award of scholarship to the under-13 champion- Master Omar Bello by the Olatokunbo Fondation, high Tech gadgets like smart phones, headphones, hard drives and so on, by MTN communications and other souvenirs by BizzyBody NG which the event was also packaged by.

The founder, AmuwoGames, Seun Ayeni paid tribute to the sponsors, members of the community and the Amuwo Odofin local Government Authorities. The sponsors included MTN, Olatokunbo Foundation and Alek Pharmacy. He also acknowledged the support of the various media houses that made the event successful.

In response, one of the team members of the Amuwo Games 2019, Kunle Keshinro thanked members of the organising committee for their commitment towards the hosting of the event.
