That RMD’s Birthday Shindig
If you were at the last ‘timeless’ shindig held at the Federal Palace Hotel to mark Richard Mofe Damijo’s 60th birthday, you would have observed that the celebrant Richard Mofe Damijo or RMD for short, had a special name for some of his junior colleagues in the industry.

When it was time to invite his colleagues on stage to present the Timeless Perfume, RMD called up his colleagues by a special name. It was ‘brown sugar’ that he called Ini Edo when he invited the actress up the stage. RMD referred to award-winning actress Nse Ikpe-Etim as ‘the eclectic’ and the singer Waje as ‘Waje the Voice’. We didn’t exactly get how he referred to Kate Henshaw, Hilda Dokubo, Sola Sobowale and Funke Akindele. We will rewind the tape and revert.

Femi Branch, Ronke Oshodi Oke Headline TB Joshua’s Interment Ceremony
Actor, writer and director Femi Branch and actress Ronke Oshodi Oke were some of the notable screen celebrities that headlined the tribute service in honour of the late founder of the Synagogue Church of All Nations (SCOAN) Prophet T. B Joshua.

Branch had the opportunity to address a global audience during the tribute that was streamed and broadcast live on Emmanuel TV. The tribute service was part of the weeklong burial programme for the late Prophet. Branch flanked by actor Ojo Arowosafe, actress Ronke Oshodi and Jumoke George paid glowing tribute to the Prophet whom he said would be sorely missed.

A bird squealed that Branch and his colleagues didn’t miss any of the burial events, although the bird couldn’t confirm if they were all members of SCOAN.
