Fast-rising singer, Mulla Rae, has returned to the fore, with a new dance-heavy bop dubbed, Good Life. In the record, he taps Marlian music frontman, Zinoleesky, to share experiences on his meteoric rise in the industry and all it represents to him.

Produced by Jaysnth and Niphkeys, the record booms with a catchy hook, as well as feel-good lyricism, boosting Mulla Rae’s steady run in the industry.

Sharing the inspiration behind the record, Mulla Rae tells Weekend Beats, “Songwriting is like storytelling to me, and like stories, there’s always an inspiration for every song. Good Life was born out of the desire to talk about the kind of life I live and aspire to live. And it’s not about me alone (as I write songs for my fans). Every Nigerian aspires to live a good life, and with this single, I encourage them to pursue that goal relentlessly.”

Describing the creative process, Mulla Rae said, “The connection was great. Like I said earlier, I liked the energy he was giving me; this made us connect quickly while recording. It took us three to four hours, I guess. If I remember correctly, we linked up in an apartment in the evening. A few hours later, we were already done with recording the song; it was that easy. There wasn’t any back and forth when we were creating the single. The first 30 minutes was spent catching up on some conversations and prepping our voices and minds before the actual recording.”

Mulla Rae who has released chart-topping singles like Wanted, Your matter featuring Teni, among others, also assured his fans of scintillating visuals for Good Life.
