‘Off the Menu’ returns bigger and better with season 2
Off the Menu, a reality TV cooking show featuring some of Nigeria’s favourite celebrities is back with season two. The show, which made a return on Thursday, March 5, exclusively on Accelerate TV (www.acceleratetv.com), a multi media platform that is haven for youths, cool kids, creatives, doers, thinkers and everyone in between, is bigger and better with a fabulous array of new recipes from all over the world and special focus on African dishes to tantalise the taste buds of viewers.
Hosted by celebrity dancer and chef, Soliat Bada, the second series of the show is being shot on location at Miele kitchen in Victoria Island, Lagos. Each episode features some of Nigeria’s favourite celebrities giving insight into their lives while cooking some tasty culinary dishes with the host, chef Soliat.
This season of the cooking reality show is packed with banter, laughter and cooking of some of the continent favourite dishes. Guests include notable face and names in the Nigerian showbiz industry, such as 2face Idibia, Beverly Naya, Sound Sultan, Kemi Adetiba, Dr Sid, Niniola, Chef Fregz, Timini Egbuson among others, who will be throwing it down in the kitchen with Chef Soliat.
Commenting on the show, Head of Accelerate TV, Colette Otusheso, said, “Cooking, eating, gisting and laughing are definitely some of our favourite things to do, so it was important for us at Accelerate TV to bring back the hottest cooking show in Nigeria.
“Off the Menu’ proved to be a very popular lifestyle show for our viewers, so we were very excited to bring back season two to our audience. What makes this show even more of a treat for the fans is that it promises to be a truly exciting fun filled cooking and interview experience,” Otusheso added.
The first episode featured producer and actress Beverly Naya, who joined the show host, Soliat Bada, in creating some mouth-watering Jerk chicken, a popular Jamaican delicacy.
Also commenting on the show return, Bada, the Chief Executive Officer of an internationally acclaimed dance group said, “I am truly excited about the guests we have and the dishes we have created this season.
“We had a lot of fun on set and I am super grateful to the whole team at Accelerate TV for helping me create more fond memories this season. Making ‘Off the Menu’ is always so much fun and I love showcasing my passion of cooking. I hope the audience loves watching it as much as I do.”
