Tomorrow, Christians everywhere would celebrate the resurrection of our Lord Jesus Christ. Easter is a time to celebrate new life, warmth, and resurrection and is often symbolized by eggs, rabbits and baby chicks, which represent images of new life. Likewise, Easter clothing typically evokes bright colours, patterns and styles (hello Ankara fabrics) asides the traditional Sunday attire of suits, dresses and hats for women and suits for men.

However, for us here, there are several options to choose from, from Ankara fabrics, all kinds of lace, Atiku, Chiffon and so on. Use these steps as a guide for how to dress for Easter Sunday.

Select your attire based on the day’s activities
Recommended dress for church service will differ from a family brunch or a get-together. To choose your clothing, it is important to determine where and when your events will be. Select clothing that is appropriate for the activities, keeping comfort and location in mind. Select modest styles. The purpose of attending church service is to worship God and celebrate the resurrection of Jesus Christ, so dress in a respectful manner that does not detract from the worship service. Avoid denim. Jeans and denim materials are not appropriate. Choose business attire when in doubt. If you are unsure about how to dress, wear clothing you would wear to a meeting at work. Business attire for women indicates a suit or a dress with a jacket, while business attire for men means a suit and tie.

Go For Bright Colours
It is a season of celebration so clothing in pastel hues, such as yellow, lavender, pink and white are in order. Opt for colours that flatter your skin tone. Not everyone looks good in pastel colours. If pastels make you look washed out or dull, consider brighter tones. For example, instead of wearing a pastel yellow, choose a canary yellow that brightens your complexion. Pair pastels with dark colours; depending on your shape, an all-pastel outfit may not be flattering. Women may pair a pastel top with a navy skirt or black pants or wear traditional outfits.

Don’t Forget To Accessorise
No matter your outfit, don’t forget to go all out on accessories. If you’re going for suits or dresses, a hat is the traditional Sunday accessory, but you can experiment with more modern accessories like fascinators and hair flowered-clips to create a look that reflects your style. Consider jewellery, scarves, handbags and hair accessories when putting together your outfit. Opt for accessories that add to the elegance of your outfit. Consider very bold accessories that add a pop of colour or make a dramatic statement, like statement neckpieces, earrings and so on. As much as possible, consider elegant heels when choosing your outfit. You can never go wrong with heels and they transform even the simplest of outfits.
