Poised to create a premium experience out of Lagos daily shenanigans, global energy drink Red Bull, created and owned by the Austrian company Red Bull GmbH, on Thursday, held the Red Bull Danfo Rally in Lagos.

The rally saw 10 Danfos, Lagos mid-size commercial buses with the famous yellow-and-black striped exclusive painting make their way through varying routes passing through different obstacles (random ticket points, checkpoints, pothole-filled roads) while trying to reach the final destination in a stipulated time.

Each team was made up of one Danfo driver, one SOL (the Conductor) and one wild card (comedian), and 10 passengers that comprised men and women — students, workers, road users and Lagos residents generally who are 18 years and above.

The team members are picked up at two bus stops where ‘the conductor’ must call out to the ‘right passengers’. Each team made at least one re-fuel stop while navigating the route options briefed at the starting point to get to the finish line within one hour.
