Sneakerfest: Organisers announce date for second edition

Following the unequivocal success of its debut last year, organisers of the Sneakers festival (SneakerFest), an all sneakers event geared towards bringing together and celebrating Sneakers enthusiasts has announced its second edition.

The maiden edition, which was held in Lagos last December, featured exciting shows like rap battle, dance, fashion runway, basketball slam dunk and sneaker giveaways that saw over 23 pairs of sneakers worth not less than $150 given away to participants and with one lucky winner winning the featured Sneaker – the ‘Jordan 6 Doernbechers 2019’ valued at $3,073 awarded by the creator of the event, Ikemesit ‘BadBlood’ Nkereuwem-Tim.

According to the Head of Corporate Communications for the event, Babajide Agboola, the festival, which goals is to celebrate youths’ achievements in streetwear fashion, music, dance, sports, and arts, will be bigger and better than last year’s edition.

His words: “We are glad we had one of the most talked about events in 2020 and we are most definitely not wasting any time in preparing for this year’s edition. This year, Sneakerfest is coming back bigger, better and stronger, and we absolutely can’t wait.”

Agboola stated further that this year’s festival would hold December 19, at the Lagos Oriental Hotel, Victoria Island, Lagos.
