Stars step out for The Macallan Experience

Top Ghanaian entertainers and corporate executives gathered in Accra recently for an evening of fine dining and whisky dubbed The Macallan Experience. The event was held at the Country Club, a luxurious venue in Accra’s high-end neighbourhood of Trasacco Valley.

Actresses Zynnell Zuh and Haillie Sumney; half of hip hop group, R2Bees, Rashid Mugeez; popular social media personality, So African; 2017 Miss Universe Ghana, Ruth Quarshie; and Kwadwo Saka Addo-Mensah, Managing Director, Saka Homes, were some of the select guests who experienced the exclusive event in the sprawling fields of Trasacco Valley.

Award-winning resident chef, Bismarck Amoako, curated an original menu, especially for the 50 guests, who paired each meal with a corresponding aged whisky from The Macallan’s opulent selection.

Hosted by the world’s most prestigious whisky brand, The Macallan Experience showcased the finer points of single malt whisky production and offered guests an opportunity to taste some of the rarest and exclusive varieties paired with the most special of meals.

The presence of such influential entertainment and corporate personalities at the event underscores the growing interest in ultra-luxury whiskies among Ghana’s elite within the industry.

It also highlights the role that the corporate sectors are playing in driving the country’s economic growth and development.
