AHTES, HATMAN advance tourism, hospitality sector with monthly professional career trainings
Towards advancing excellence and innovation in the hospitality and tourism industry across Africa, the African Hospitality and Tourism Education Summit (AHTES), an initiative of Tourism Afrikania, has announced its partnership with the Hospitality and Tourism Management Association of Nigeria (HATMAN) to deliver monthly professional career training programmes.
This initiative, which is part of AHTES vision to promote hospitality and tourism education, will equip industry professionals with the knowledge and tools they need to excel will include co-branded certifications from AHTES and HATMAN, further emphasising their commitment to professional development.
Participants will also enjoy a 20 per cent waiver on HATMAN membership registration fees, encouraging them to connect with Nigeria’s foremost professional body in hospitality and tourism. HATMAN, known for its annual international conference and AGM, offers members’ opportunities to network, collaborate, and learn, making this partnership a significant milestone for the sector.
In a letter signed by HATMAN National President, Dr. Lilian C. Managwu, and HATMAN National Secretary, Prince Ayodele Martins Arokoyo, which was addressed to the Convener of AHTES and Founder of Tourism Afrikania, Amb. Chimezie Mike, the association applauded this partnership as a laudable initiative. “We recognise the importance of continuous professional development in the hospitality and tourism sector and are confident that this training programme will significantly contribute to enhancing the skills and expertise of professionals within the industry.
This collaboration will elevate individual capabilities while contributing to the overall growth and success of the sector. Together, we can set new standards for quality service and innovation in this field.”
