Carloha Nigeria launches emergency roadside service

Carloha Nigeria, the authorised distributor of Chery vehicles in Nigeria, has launched the CarlohaCare 6-6-7 Rescue Initiative, a nationwide emergency roadside assistance programme aimed at providing motorists with prompt support during vehicle breakdowns.

The company said the initiative offers free emergency roadside assistance to Chery owners across Nigeria through a dedicated hotline, with trained rescue teams available around the clock to respond to distress calls.

Response times, it noted, would depend on location and road accessibility.

The rescue service builds on Carloha Nigeria’s CarlohaCare 6-6-7 after-sales package, which includes a six-year manufacturer’s warranty, six years of free scheduled maintenance and a seven-day repair promise that provides customers with a courtesy vehicle if repairs extend beyond seven working days due to qualifying circumstances.

The company said the new initiative extends this customer support from the workshop to the roadside.
Speaking on the initiative, Carloha Nigeria’s After-sales Manager, Samson Akinbowale, said the service was designed to give motorists confidence that professional assistance was always available whenever unexpected breakdowns occur.

“Vehicle breakdowns can occur unexpectedly and often create stressful situations for motorists. With the CarlohaCare 6-6-7 Rescue Initiative, our customers can enjoy peace of mind knowing that a dedicated team of trained professionals is available around the clock to provide prompt assistance whenever they need it,” he said.

Akinbowale added that the programme also provides on-location maintenance support to reduce vehicle downtime for individual motorists and fleet operators.

General Manager, Marketing, Carloha Nigeria, Felix Mahan, described the initiative as a natural extension of the company’s customer-focused strategy.

According to him, “The CarlohaCare 6-6-7 Rescue Initiative is an extension of our vision to provide a superior ownership experience and eliminate the worries that come with vehicle ownership. We want every Chery owner to know that help is always just a phone call away.”

In a move the company described as an industry first in Nigeria, Carloha Nigeria said it would, for a limited period, extend the free roadside rescue service to owners of non-Chery vehicles, subject to operational capacity.

Chery customers, however, would continue to receive priority during periods of high demand.

Mahan said the decision reflects the company’s commitment to improving road safety beyond its customer base.

The company said non-Chery motorists can access the service through the same emergency hotline, with eligibility determined at the time of request.

It also encouraged motorists to follow its official social media platforms and website for updates on service availability and coverage areas.
