Breaking into the Nigerian music industry like never before is ‘Tuti Vibes’.

Tuti Vibes

The afro-fusion singer and songwriter just dropped the long-awaited project titled ‘International Badboy Musical’ EP, which was born from months of sleepless nights in the studio, says a lot from the tone when you listen to the body of work.

He started the music journey just after high school at a very young age till he started making his way to record in music studios, he then recorded his first song in 2015 and then took a break to focus on his academics and also perfect his craft.

“The EP ‘International BadBoy Musical’ has been in the works for like two years. Those who knew my musical ability have been on my neck for a long time, asking me to drop music. I kept promising and failing by giving out dates and not releasing music. I lacked the motivation to put out new music entirely, so psychologically I was very laid back. But for someone who just lives and breaths music, I kept recording when I get any vibe, not being intentional if I’ll release the music or not.

Honestly, if I’m to be entirely sincere, I kept on recording for my own listening pleasure. The songs on IBM were recorded over a year ago, I only just came to terms with myself to put the music out, instead of just listening to it alone and letting it be a waste.

“A few people would ask, “Why International BadBoy”, like what’s the idea behind the name of the EP? The answer actually is, during the course of chasing things not related to music, especially my academics, I met someone while I was undergoing my National Youth Service Corps (NYSC), sometime in 2017/18. We were in the camp hostel, and I don’t know what we were talking about and he said ‘You be International BadBoy’, immediately he said it the name stucked. A few people around the bunk started calling me International BadBoy, until we left the camp.

“So during the process of making this EP, I was like it has to be International BadBoy Musical. And that was it.”

The 5-track project is a masterpiece listening from ‘Holiday’ to ‘Envy’, ‘Flex’, ‘Dutty Wine’ and ‘Told Me’ which revealed his lover-boy side on the extended play. The mid-tempo beat allows his voice to shine through, while the catchy hook, combined with a deep bass and soulful synth in the background, make for a memorable track.

The EP was produced by some amazing producers from the likes of Beatsbyhits, HbeatsPro and also engineered by Rage Racks.

Speaking about his plans for the year 2022, He revealed that he would be releasing amazing visuals off the EP and new singles.
