Afrobeats is an African music genre that is making waves worldwide, thanks to Nigerian musicians and music promoters who have focused their resources to making Afrobeats accepted globally.

BadGuyToba, real name, Abiodun Osibodu, is one of the major forces promoting Afrobeats and other African songs in the United Kingdom where he is based and operates his entertainment business. He is a leading brand that acts as human resource in ensuring the success of Afrobeats in the world today.

BadGuyToba has however expressed his delight in the current state of Afrobeats as it is now one of the music genres that is well-grounded and loved in the UK. He said the likes of Wizkid, Davido, Burna Boy from Nigeria, R2Bees, FuseODG and more music acts from different parts of Africa have all contributed immensely to the love Afrobeats is enjoying in the UK.

BadGuyToba who has worked with top musicians from Africa has organised different gigs for them in different venues in the UK to get heard, this is also part of the recently held show, ‘Afrobeats in London’ organised by his entertainment firm.

‘Afrobeats in London’, an indoor festival, saw the finest artistes from Africa thrill music lovers in London. The event which took place on February 22, 2020 in Scala, London had talented DJ Cuppy, revered music boss, Larry Gaaga, Darkoo, South Africa’s Zulu Warriors, amongst other musicians from different parts of the world as performing acts.

Speaking about the indoor festival, BadGuyToba, said “it was a revolutionary night that was well attended by Afrobeats lovers in London, it was a remarkable experience, and it ascertained the fact that Afrobeats music genre is well-appreciated.”

The veteran entertainment promoter is the founder and one of the directors of Africa Unplugged Ltd, the parent company of The African Pride Awards, Therapy Entertainment LTD, Springbreak London, Afrobeat in Marbella festival, Afrobeat in Dubai festival, Distrurbing Africa Ltd, Tungba App, King Kong PR to name a few.
