Collaboration between Niniola, Teni excites fans

Given the recent indications, the Akpata sisters seem ready to give fans the long-awaited collaboration as singer and songwriter, Niniola Apata, known professionally as Niniola, hinted at a potential collaboration with her sister, Teniola Apata, professionally known as Teni or Teni The Entertainer.

Niniola gave the hint during an interview with Hip TV where she was asked if she would be collaborating with her sister Teni. “It’s in the works already, so just stay close,” she said.

The announcement has sparked excitement among fans of both stars who are eager to see them join forces as they have distinguished themselves as two of Afrobeats’ distinctive talents. Both sisters are coming off successful 2024 projects, with Teni releasing her 16-track album, Tears of the Sun and Niniola dropping Press Play, her third album.

As an award-winning artiste, Niniola is reputed for her impressive vocals and unique blend of House music and Afrobeats in a career spanning over a decade, with hits like Maradona, Omo Rapala, and Addicted. Her vocal expression and performances earned her the Headies Best Female Vocal Performance Award in 2020 for her song Addicted.

Known for her captivating songwriting and hits like Case, Uyo Meyo, and Asakaya, Teni’s incredible talent has earned her multiple awards, including the Headies Record of the Year.

If the collaboration materialises, it would mark the first studio project between the sisters, blending their talents for what fans hope will be a memorable record.
