Davido, Asake thrill fans at Flytime Fest 2023

Nigerian superstar and Grammy nominee, David Adedeji Adeleke, better known as Davido, delivered a phenomenal performance at the Flytime Fest on Sunday, December 24, during which he took the crowd through a musical journey..

Nigerian superstar and Grammy nominee, David Adedeji Adeleke, better known as Davido, delivered a phenomenal performance at the Flytime Fest on Sunday, December 24, during which he took the crowd through a musical journey from classics such as, Aye and Dami Duro to recent hit a from his latest album, Timeless.

Also throwing their weight behind the Davido Music World (DMW) were Peruzzi and Morravey. Self-proclaimed ‘Ololade Mr Money’s’ performance was a vibe, as he sure did come with his infectious energy and genre-bending rhythms, captivating the audience with a night of unforgettable music and energetic dance moves. His performance of top charting songs Amapiano and Lonely at the Top got the crowd in intoxicating groove.

The energy in the room became palpable when Asake and Davido reunited on stage to perform their hit song, No Competition, a testament to the undeniable chemistry between the two Afrobeats giants.

The festival ended with the grand unveiling of the Nigerian graffiti artist, brand developer and GFX designer, Osa Okunkpolor, professionally known as Osa Seven’s enthralling oil painting of the late singer, Mohbad, which got the attention of festival attendees. Strategically placed within the festival grounds, the piece served as a tribute to the late artiste.

Expressing his appreciation on the success of the festival, the CEO of Flytime Promotions, Cecil Hammond, said, “as we wrap up Flytime Fest 2023 with this stellar performance, I am overwhelmed with gratitude to the artistes who poured their souls onto the stage, my amazing team who worked tirelessly, and to our incredible sponsors who continue to support us as we push boundaries in the entertainment space.”

Speaking on Osa Seven’s art, the COO of Flytime Fest, Keke Hammond, said, “we are thrilled to showcase Osa’s incredible mural of Mohbad here at Flytime Fest. Osa has a unique ability to capture the spirit of the artist he portrays, and it is a stunning addition to our festival’s artistic element and the perfect way to pay homage to the late talented artist. It was beautiful seeing attendees write a tribute and interact with the artwork.”
