Film In The Park Festival holds September

Building on the buzz of last year’s edition, the Film in the Park (FLIP) Festival is back for another cinematic celebration — second edition. Bigger and bolder, the festival which is scheduled to hold on Sunday, September 21, at Freedom Park, Broad Street, Lagos Island will serve up an electrifying blend of storytelling, culture, and community in one unforgettable evening between 4 pm and 7pm.

According to the Convener, Tomiwa Precious Otun, with the remarkable success of the maiden edition in 2024, this year’s FLIP film festival promises to be bigger, bolder and even more impactful.

She said, “This year’s festival will feature over 10 film screenings, live performances, storytelling, and community engagement. FLIP creates a space where emerging African filmmakers share authentic stories that reflect our realities, resilience, and creativity.

With meet and greet with the film producers, business networking, musical performances by upcoming artistes, and fun games, attendees are going to have the best time as they relax and watch.”

With this year’s theme as “A Sabi Experience”, Otun stated that the Film in the Park 2.0 festival among other objectives.
