Frank Edwards, Okposo, Akpororo for TMIP concert this evening
Music plays such a large part in peoples’ lives today, whether cruising through daily chores, listening to the radio, driving along in the car with a cassette on, or, for those fortunate enough, watching MT.
All is set for today’s musical fiesta billed to hold at the Christian Pentecostal Mission International Headquarters, Ajao Estate, Isolo Lagos, as part of activities for this year’s The Mission Is Possible (TMIP) international youth conference tagged ‘High Flyers’
According to Princess Ogechi Ezekiel, the national youth leader of the church, it is time for the youths to take their rightful place and position as high flyers, adding that the essence of the musical fiesta is reach out to more souls through music, which the youths are at home with.
She said, “As young people, we have focus, aims, and aspiration, reason we are transiting from the last conference theme, ‘Go Forward to High Flyers’ this year. We are using the eagle and lion as our main character representation.
“The Eagle as you know is a large, powerful bird. It has excellent eyesight, powerful talons, which help it catch its prey. The Eagle builds its nest on high cliffs. It features prominently on the coat of arms of large number of countries, such as Germany, Mexico, Egypt, Poland, Austria and our beloved country Nigeria. Golden eagles have been known to hunt foxes, wild cats and even young deer and goats.”
Artistes billed to performed at the event this evening includes Nathaniel Bassey, Chioma Jesus, Sammie Okposo, Akpororo, Frank Edwards, Tim Godfrey, Shallom Jonathan, Seun Boyejo, and NPaul.
