The Mobolaji Bank Anthony Way and other roads leading to The Balmoral Convention Centre, Ikeja, recently felt an intense energy and unusual vibes when Oracle Experience staged the much-anticipated Roadblock Party, with over 3000 attendees adorned in white and black, grinding through the night.
The party, which is all about experience, had the trappings of a spectacular show element, such as dazzling performances, the best Afro trance music, talented Disc Jockeys (DJs) and massive production. With each DJ taking over from the other, the audience let it loose as they party for the house.
Utilising the positive power of music and dance as a universal language, the organiser, Felix King, creative genius, unveiled an exclusive theme that sets the stage for a captivating storyline and immersive journey through the night.
The audiences were entranced by an awe-inspiring display of lights and lasers meticulously choreographed, and deafening speakers that reverberated through entire showtime, ensuring an immersive and electrifying sonic experience.
Each artiste was introduced with a custom intro, adding an extra layer of anticipation and excitement as they weave their sonic tapestry with the transcendent sounds of Afro trance, progressive trance, tech-trance, and psytrance.
Speaking in support of the party, Head, Trade Marketing, Nigerian Breweries PLC, Mfon Bassey, said: “We go wherever the consumers are. We felt it will be nice to give Nigerians an unforgettable experience this season. We saw the potential in Roadblocks and we tapped in.
“Nigerian youth are very expressive, they are active and dynamic and we thought that for a brand that has the same purpose and mission, it will be a good idea to be on a journey with them, and, this will not be the last partnership.
“We intend to sustain the relationship. We want to take this experience to Port Harcourt, Abuja, Ibadan and other parts of the country,” Bassey added/
Also speaking, Brand Manager, Desperado, Aboyowa Ikpobe, said: “Desperado has always been about having a good time, it’s a brand that is edgy for Gen Z and other younger consumers, so, when the opportunity to partner with Roadblock came up, we were just the perfect fit. The crowd is self-expressive, young Nigerians who came to experience what we stand for.
“Every party in Nigeria maintains a pattern but we decided to make this a different experience, even down to the DJ set with spinning. We have a free tattoo session, people dying their hair. We encourage people to embrace differences and enjoy themselves. We love self-expression.”
