Ehimgibai Idowu Junior, a casting director at Don Crucifixto Entertainment, has said that grooming talents in the entertainment space, locally or internationally, is a passion from which he derives joy and has been a wonderful experience for him.
The creative director, who is popularly known as Chelsea Pastor, made this known while sharing his experience working with various entertainment labels and artistes both in Nigeria and outside the country.
Ehimigbai said his passion for talents was born out of tenacity and love for arts and the entertainment industry, where he had worked and built an enviable career as well as an impressive reputation.
“I have worked with 2moch Rekordz and Savage Music Inc, and I acquired a lot of experience working with different talents since 2009 when I first joined the now-defunct 2moch Rekordz,” he said.
On his working relationship with the Nigerian-born UK-based Afro-Pop singer, Sean Dampte, Chelsea Pastor said: “It’s been a beautiful experience working as a manager and creative director to Sean Dampte.
“The number of years we have been together saying all about our relationship. So I will say it’s all bed of roses working as his manager. All the challenges that we encounter are easily solved because of our passion to succeed.
“This year is a very successful one for us. Sean Dampte has made eight trips to Nigeria.
That’s because of the many recording and videos that we had to do. We have since released 10 Yards video in which Don Crucifixto was featured. Woman Weed or Wine video was recently released and both videos are also receiving massive airplay throughout the country.
“An EP titled Essence by Don Crucifixto and Sean Dampte was recently released. Producing these songs and shooting four videos both for Sean Dampte and our newly signed young talents within four months wasn’t easy especially when you consider the fact that Dampte is based in the UK, while his brother, Don Crucifixto lives in the US.
“A lot of planning and logistics are involved in making it possible and that is why they got me here to make all the planning easy for our label.”
Apart from being a talent manager, Ehimigbai made his acting debut in the movie entitled Transit – a psychological thriller set to be released next year. Tumi Oluyole produces the movie, which is directed by Robert Peters.
As an artist, he enjoys drawing, painting, and making handmade cards. In his leisure time, he loves watching football, listening to music, and bonding with his family.
