Celebrated dance instructor, Kafayat Oluwatoyin Shafau, popularly known as Kaffy, has set in motion activities to mark the 25th anniversary of her craft. As part of activities for the celebration Kaffy unveiled her ground-breaking creative agency, Kaffy Kreative Agency and wellness and fitness brand, Transform With Kaffy.
  
Speaking at the unveiling at the Alliance Francaise, Ikoyi, Lagos, the award-winning dancer noted that her new brands encompass physical fitness, mind wellbeing, mental healing, talent management, job creation and mentorship.
 
Emphasising the evolution of her brand, the one-time Guinness Book of Record for Longest Dance Party holder, explained that the Kaffy brand has evolved, stressing that it is a bigger umbrella called Kaffi Incorporated, it is the mother company that now houses what we know as the Kaffy brand.
 
She said, “Kaffy brand has four major expressions; we have the Kaffy Kreative Agency, which is an all-encompassing creative solution company that provides creative solutions to talents and brands. We also have an aspect where we hire and promote talents.
  
“Another expression is ‘Yanga’ a branch of the Kaffy Incorporated that deals with costuming. Then Transform With Kaffy focuses on fitness. Fitness has always been a part of my life even before dance,” she added.
 
Describing her source of motivation, which has kept her afloat for two and half decades, Kaffy notes: “First, my hunger for things to get better has been my major drive — I love to see people get better, live healthily and improve in every ramifications. I am also motivated by my genuine love for humanity and overall body and mind wellness.
  
“From the start, the journey for me has never been just dancing. The journey, for me, was to upturn the status quo that the creative expression or any human expression is limited by what the world has formed to be the rat race of success and I do not believe that. ”

“If humanity is a defining place to be, then we can be anything and still be honoured in whatever endeavour we choose. I don’t believe that as a dancer, I cannot be in the same room as Elon Musk, Dangote Mark Zuckerberg, and other successful people,” the renowned dance instructor stated.
  
On her legacy, Kaffy adds that her utmost mission is to raise industry leaders through The Kaffi University, otherwise known as ‘Kaffy Universe’. “My legacy is to mentor, coach and support youths. I want to instil the winning mentality in them and make them see life, not through the lens of weakness, but strength; not with the mentality of lack, but with a sense of responsibility and good attitude that transforms situations positively.”
    
Highlighting Kaffy’s legacy, one of her partners, Egemba Chinonso Fidelis, widely known as Aproko Doctor, a popular social media health influencer, commended her lifelong advocacy for mental wellness and physical fitness, and inspiring the younger generations through art.
