Mr Eazi signs licensing deal with Universal Africa

The year 2018 is definitely a great year for Mr. Eazi, as Universal Africa has signed a licensing deal with the singer his forthcoming project Life Is Eazi Vol. 2: Lagos to London.

The year 2018 is definitely a great year for Mr. Eazi, as Universal Africa has signed a licensing deal with the singer his forthcoming project Life Is Eazi Vol. 2: Lagos to London.

The deal, which is said to be exclusive to Africa, was signed in Johannesburg, South Africa on Wednesday, between Mr Eazi and head of Universal Africa, Sipho Dlamini. With the new deal, the singer’s label, Banku Music and Universal Africa will jointly release his new project in Africa.

Though the figures involved in the deal is yet to be made public, Mr Eazi hinted that more label partnerships for different key regions are in the works.

Mr Eazi gained prominence in 2016, following his smash hit single Skin tight. The song catapulted him into the mainstream and he consolidated his newly found fame with numerous collaborations and singles, which cemented him a major spot in the industry.

Later that year, the singer picked up the Headies ‘Next Rated’ award, and won the Sound City MVP Award in the ‘Best New Artist’ category.The recently released Pour Me Water singer was among celebrities who turned up for the Vanity Fair Oscar party and was spotted with Bad Boy Entertainment chief, Puff Daddy, Drake and Tyler Perry.
