Peters: Gospel artistes deserves better deal

Following the back and forth and debate on music minister charging to perform in churches, which has sparked a crucial conversation among some clergymen, the lead Pastor, Love of God in Christ (LOGIC), Apostle Dr. Flourish Peters, weigh in on the matter, saying artistes in the vocation deserve to be paid and not be left after ministration with empty hand.

He made the assertion during a media parley for the Jesus + Nothing Worship music concert held in Lekki, Lagos. Using Neon Adejo as an example, Peters said he invited him from the United Kingdom and it would be unfair to leave him without a penny after ministration.

“I didn’t put him in economy class; so, if other churches invite him, they will have the foreknowledge of how I treat my ‘son’. I can’t send him back to the UK without a penny. He didn’t stay in a deacon’s house but in a comfortable place,” he said.

The Jesus + Nothing worship left attendees deeply moved and spiritually uplifted. The powerful evening of gospel music served as a profound reminder of the sacrifice and glorious resurrection of Jesus Christ, emphasizing the core message that through a sober Friday came a Good Friday for all.

With an atmosphere of heartfelt worship the LOGIC Church headquarters in Lekki, Lagos was filled to its capacity, as a phenomenal lineup of Nigeria’s leading gospel artistes and emerging talents took to the stage.
