If there is one game Nigerians have suddenly fallen head-over-heels in love with, it is definitely be the game of soccer.

The game over the years has had millions of naira lavished on it by the wealthy. While some have acquired wealth through their long-standing family names, others have over the years built a name for themselves in the business world.

One of such people who have spent a fortune on the game is Mohammed Babangida. Baba, as friends and admirers fondly call him, is undoubtedly one of the most prominent Nigerian polo players that spend big on the game.

Son of former military President of Nigeria, Gen. Ibrahim Badamosi Babangida (IBB), Mohammed has won so many hearts with his skills and determination to continually succeed at what he does.

His ponies are said to be most expensive and spoilt and he occasionally flies them around for competitions.

A few years back, Mohammed’s dexterity and love for the game was said to have won the heart of a Lagos top businessman, John Obayuwana, who reportedly gave him a wristwatch worth N1million.
