Debuting as one of the most soulful new kids on the block, Olayinka Owoseni, professionally known as Yimeeka, has stepped out with her debut record dubbed, Alter Ego. Tag-teaming other fast-rising superstars including Pheelz, Joyce Olong, among others, the multi-talented producer, sound designer and singer soars with this soothing and emotive record.

Kickstarting her music career in high school at the age of 12 and professionally in 2020, Yimeeka has worked with notable brands and artistes over time, including African pop star, Davido. Despite working as Head of Operations for Kan-Awa, a start-up she co-owns with her friend, Yimeeka has been involved in music as a means to express her thoughts and feelings, and for her voice to be heard.

Influenced by artistes and producers like Pheelz, Jon Bellion, Ed Sheeran, Benny Blanco and Ryan Tedder, Yimeeka’s genres include Alternative, R&B and Afro fusion. Yimeeka’s Alter Ego is a fine addition to the catalogue of Afro-fusion records in the country.
