The new Head of House games last Monday saw 13 housemates fight for the chance to become the next HOH in Big Brother Naija Level Up. Like the previous games, the first round had all housemates, including Sheggz, who was recently relieved of his position as the previous week’s Tail of House.

The female housemates played first in the first round of games, where they had to throw tennis balls to knock bottles of water off a table, one at a time, until all eleven bottles were gone or reduced significantly. Phyna and Daniella emerged as the top two female winners of the first game at the sound of the buzzer to signify the round’s end.

Then, it was the men’s turn to play the game, and after the allotted minute, Adekunle and Sheggz qualified for the next round. However, Chizzy and Chi Chi were disqualified for breaking one of the game’s rules.

Moving to the second round, Phyna, Daniella, Adekunle, and Sheggz competed in another water challenge, where they had one minute to fill an empty jug with water poured from their mouth. Phyna was the first to finish the round and automatically won the coveted Head of House title.

With her win, Phyna has emerged as the seventh Head of House, the second female HOH and the first housemate from the original Level 2 to win the HoH games this season. For performing poorly in the first task, Rachel emerged as the Tail of House with her rewards to be announced by Biggie.

Meanwhile, MultiChoice Nigeria has announced a new level in the Big Brother Naija Season 7 house. Level 3 was unlocked following the exit of Doyin, Eloswag, and Chomzy from the house, during the Sunday live eviction show.

Speaking on the development, Busola Tejumola, the Executive Head of Content and West Africa Channels at MultiChoice Nigeria, stated, “We promised at the start of the season that there would be a lot of twists and levels to the game. In addition to the mergers and surprise exits that have been witnessed so far, we are stirring things up some more, to keep the housemates on their toes and the viewers entertained.”

She continued: “With the new level unlocked, housemates from tonight’s eviction will move to Level 3 where they will partake in regular house activities such as the Diary sessions, Biggie’s tasks and Sponsored tasks. They will also keep any winnings from the tasks. Level 3 housemates will, however, not take part in the Head of House games or nomination processes. They are also no longer in the race for the grand prize of 100 Million.”

Speaking further, Busola said, “In another twist, Doyin, Eloswag, and Chomzy, will return to the main house during the week, where they will remain as Big Brother’s house guests till at least the 18th of September. The main housemates will be oblivious to the existence of Level 3.”

Viewers will continue to enjoy premium entertainment from both levels on the dedicated DStv Channel 198 and GOtv Channel 29. They can also stream on Showmax. Additionally, the live Sunday eviction shows will continue to be simulcast on the BBN channels (DStv Channel 198, GOtv Channel 29), Africa Magic Family and Urban, and stream on Showmax.
