Self-professed ‘sugar mummy’ and Billionaire crooner, Teniola Apata popularly known as Teni the Entertainer, last Sunday, February 22 made history and added another weight to her already heavy name, when she shut down United Kingdom event centre, the Indigo O2 Arena in Brixton, London.
The show had a massive crowd of fans who came to experience good music and live performance from one of Nigeria’s best talent at the 2,759 Indigo O2 Arena.
A few days before the event, Teni had released her first single of the year 2020 titled, Marry. The Uyo meyo crooner in the song documented the female struggles with pressures to marry in Nigeria.
The Dr. Dolor Entertainment artiste released the song after her post on social media about a fan asking her when she will be getting married. Produced by the talented Jaysynths Beatz, mixed and mastered by Milla Mix, the Askamaya singer in the song, claimed her mother ask her when she will marry, and she replied, this year, next year or never.
During the concert, the socio-cultural song became soundtrack to a beautiful wedding proposal, as a young man came out on stage and proposed to the woman of his dreams. The beautiful moment happened after Teni, called out the lady simply identified as Adetutu on stage. She made fun of her, saying she wore a glittering dress for her concert.
Teni told the lady to hug her, and while that lasted, her man came out and down on one knee, Teni asked her to turn and she saw her husband-to-be down on his knee. In a video shared on the singer’s Instagram page, the young man was seen asking his surprised and excited girlfriend to marry him.
The guy said few cute words to pour out his heart to her. And just as he was making his proposal, the ecstatic audience screamed their heads off.
