Born October 1, 1984, in Ibadan, Oyo State, Ibidapo Lawal Idris started his educational pursuit at Police Children’s School, Ibadan, and had his primary education at Police Children’s School, also in Ibadan.
He proceeded to the prestigious Government College, Ibadan, and thereafter had his tertiary education at Lead City University, Ibadan. As someone who loves education, he went ahead to obtain a Master’s Degree in Business Administration at Drexel University.
He has had robust business and career engagements, serving as the Founder, MD/CEO of one of the fastest-growing commodities trading companies, Neveah Limited, which deals with the export of solid minerals and agricultural products.
Before founding Neveah limited, Lawal started IAL Resources and later established Activo Global Investments in 2007.
As a highly dynamic young Chief Executive who burns with the desire to upscale his skills, he has participated in several local and international conferences and exhibitions.
His company, Neveah Limited, has, since 2014, when it came into existence, made significant achievements in providing an alternative to oil revenue by exporting numerous mineral resources deposited underneath the soil of the West African nation, as well as agro-commodities and logistics.
One such milestone is that in 2022, it was awarded the Best Sectoral Exporter of Solid Minerals by the Nigeria Export Promotion Council (NEPC) and was last year ranked 18th out of the Financial Times ranking of the 100 fastest-growing companies in Africa.
The company has equally embarked on several humanitarian gestures aimed at grooming young entrepreneurs, touching the lives of communities, and bringing the dreams of young, talented Nigerians to reality in their different endeavours.
Ibidapo Lawal Idris enjoys reading, travelling, and public speaking. He is a strong advocate of women’s inclusion in business and corporate governance.
He is happily married to Dr. Mrs. Modupeoluwa Omotosho, a marriage that has been blessed with two kids, Olumide Lawal and Olufemi Lawal.
