Barca Academy gets Aluko/Oyebode’s support for football development
As part of its efforts to further develop a thriving football culture for the country, Blaugrana Group International, promoters of the Barca Academy in Nigeria, has entered a partnership agreement with famous law firm, Aluko and Oyebode to add legal muscle to its grassroots development programme.
According to the Blaugrana Group, which also promotes FC Bulmaro, an offshoot of the Barca Academy’s Elite 96 scholarship beneficiaries, the legal firm would facilitate legal documentation and other things that would help its efforts in youth leadership training and sports development
During the signing of the memorandum of understanding at Blaugrana Group office in Lagos, during the week, Miss Nta Ekpiken, a senior associate, who represented the legal firm, said she was impressed by the professional attitude of the promoters of the academy, adding, “the group attitude in this manner is a genuine role playing, which should be emulated by other bodies involved in the sporting industry.”
She added that the group’s approach was a bold step in changing the familiar norms, letting the key players in the sector know that the best could be achieved by doing things on time and in the best way spelt out by the bodies responsible for the rules and regulations of the industry world wide.
In his reaction, promoter of the Barca Academy, Leslie Oghemienor, said it was more rewarding, time saving and less stressful to do things within the arm bit of the laws.
“In order to tap into the essence of our nobel pursuit, we are bound to go out of our Nigerian way of doing things because we intend to see all the projects we are embarking on for the good of man outlive us and beyond just like FC Barcelona brand,” Oghomienor stressed.
