Round eight and nine: Fury vs Usyk

Usyk is relentless. He’s refusing to leave Fury alone and is peppering him with shots. Fury does briefly step in to land a 1-2 to Usyk’s body, but he seems caught in two minds.

The pair then smash their heads together in a messy exchange but, thankfully, there is no damage to either man. Usyk is getting increasingly adventurous with his hooks and comes close to landing a ridiculous roundhouse left that skims past Fury’s ear.

That could have ended the fight. Perhaps it wakes Fury up as, in the final seconds of the round, he steps in and briefly lets his hands go. But nothing of significance landed. Fury is up.

Fury vs Usyk: Round nine

Solid right from Fury, tries to measure an uppercut, his jabs still have a lot of pop on them. Fury steps in and whips a right to the body but Usyk takes some of the sting on his elbow.

Usyk continues to send spearing shots into Fury’s body. Fury steps in looking for another right uppercut, he misses but then grabs onto Usyk. He’s held the Ukranian at bay in this round, disrupting his work.

Again Fury looks to shovel in a right, which he lands just above the belt.

A good round for Fury.
