Confluence Stars, Edo Dynamos win as Tojemarine battle Seasiders today

Confluence Stars, Safety Shooters, Lagos Seasiders, D: Defenders, Edo Dynamos and Adorable Angels, yesterday, won their matches in the men and women’s categories of the Prudent Energy Handball Premier League holding in the M.K.O. Abiola National Stadium, Abuja.  

In the men’s category, Confluence Stars subdued Plateau Vipers 22 to 20 to climb up the ladder, while defending champions, Safety Shooters, overpowered newcomers, Tojemarine Academy 25 to 19, but Kada Stars lost 24 to 37 to Lagos Seasiders, Police Machine lost 21-28 to D: Defenders and Niger United beat Rima Strikers26 to 21 in a fierce contest dominated by brilliant goalkeeping.

In the women category, Edo Dynamos won their second game when they beat Kada Queens 31 to 16, while Plateau Peacocks lost to defending champions, Adorable Angels 34 to 25 in the last game of the day.

Today’s matches will begin with Tojemarine Academy meeting Lagos Seasiders, while COAS Shooters will square battle Niger United.
Plateau Vipers will tackle Kada Stars, Police Machines will take on Rima Strikers, D: Defenders will slug it out with Confluence Stars, while Safety Shooters will hope to brighten their chances of retaining the title they won last year when they take on rivals, Kano Pillars.

In ladies’ matches, Confluence Queens will challenge Imo Grasshoppers, Safety Babes will tackle Adorable Angels, Bayelsa Queens will try their strength against Kada Queens, while Plateau Peacock will face Seasiders Babes.
