Defending Champions, Kano Pillars, have won just one game and recorded three defeats with a total of three points at the ongoing 2022 Nigeria Volleyball Premier League holding in Akure.

Underdogs, Offa Volleyball Club, are leading the men’s table. They are the only team with a 100 per cent record having beaten Pillars, Nigeria Police Force, Kwara United and Sunshine Spikers to amass 12 points.

NSCDC are second on the table with 10 points, following three victories and one defeat to Nigeria Police Force (NPF) last weekend.

Nigeria Customs Service (NCS) are currently third with nine points, after losing one game to NSCDC out of four matches. They are followed by Nigeria Correctional Service (NCOS) with six points from two wins and two defeats.

NPF, who started the competition in good shape, have hit a bad patch lately, and currently, occupies the fifth position with two wins and two defeats, amounting to six points.

In the sixth position is COAS Spikers, with four points from two wins and two losses, while newly promoted Kwara United are seventh with a total of three points from one win and three defeats.

Hosts, Sunshine Spikers, have a lot of catching up to do, as they have just three points, winning a single game while losing three, just as Kada Kings are rock bottom, having lost three matches and recorded one victory with a total of three points.
