Deputy Commissioner of Police wins silver medal at U.S. Open Judo Championship

Former Commander of the Rapid Response Squad of Lagos State Police Command, Mr. Tunji Disu, a deputy commissioner of police, has made Nigeria proud by winning a silver medal at the 33rd U.S Open Judo Championship.
Former Commander of the Rapid Response Squad of Lagos State Police Command, Mr. Tunji Disu, a deputy commissioner of police, has made Nigeria proud by winning a silver medal at the 33rd U.S Open Judo Championship.
Disu currently leads the elite Inspector General of Police Intelligence Response Squad (IRT), headquartered in Abuja, the FCT.
Disu’s tenure witnessed the enthronement of strict professionalism in the RRS, transforming it into a highly responsible and responsive unit, which also enjoyed the trust and cooperation of the public.
He took over from DCP Abba Kyari as the new Head of the Police Intelligence Response Team, IRT.
Born on April 17, 1960, Disu is a graduate of English from Lagos State University (LASU), who also holds a Master’s degree in Public Administration from Adekunle Ajasin University, Ondo State.
