United Kingdom-based FA licensed football agent, Drew Uyi, recently paid a courtesy visit to the Director-General of Nigeria’s Department of State Services (DSS), Yusuf Magaji Bichi at the security agency’s Abuja headquarters.

Bichi is the father of Nigeria U-17 youth international, Abba Yusuf Bichi, who has been attracting interest from various European teams. The 17-year-old forward can, however, only sign a professional contract once he turns 18.

Uyi, who is also an athlete branding expert and brand builder for professional athletes, was at the office of the DSS boss to appreciate and thank Bichi for allowing his Bichi Jr. to pursue a career in football.

“I am here to thank you for allowing your son to pursue his football dreams unlike other parents who will just want their children to pursue only academics. I am also here to show the support I have for you and your son because in anything one is doing, relationship is key,” Uyi said.

Uyi, who presented a framed Jersey to Bichi, also informed the DSS boss that his son has been doing great in his career, as Bichi Jr. is already getting endorsements from some top companies, such as Dakinda and Alliance in Motion.

In his response, Bichi commended Uyi for doing something different in football with branding.

Bichi Jr. is one of the most recognisable young Nigerian footballers on social media with verified accounts across Instagram, Twitter and TikTok. This in part is due to the work put in by Uyi.
