FA licensed football agent, Drew Uyi, has hailed the siting of the FIFA Goal Project both by the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) and Federation of International Football Associations (FIFA) at Ugborodo, Escravos in Warri South Council of Delta State, saying that the project could not have been sited in a better place.

Uyi stated this following the recent visit of the NFF president, Amaju Pinnick, to the paramount ruler of Ugborodo, adding that the FIFA Goal Project, when completed would change the face of football in the riverine communities of Delta State.

“This is what these type of funds are set aside for, to touch the interior and areas that are less thought of. The choice of Escravos for the FIFA Goal Project is a masterstroke both by the NFF and FIFA. This will not only bring quality and world-class facilities closer to the people in the Niger Delta region, but also takes care of the issue of youth restiveness.

“What the NFF leadership has started with this project will go a long way in addressing some of the teething problems that have bedevilled the riverine communities in the Niger Delta region,” he said.

Uyi then urged the contractor handling the project to deliver a world-class edifice in order to raise the next set of outstanding footballers from the country.

He urged members of the communities to key into the project and assist its speedy completion.
