Al Hilal has made an official bid of €70 million to Napoli for the services of Super Eagles striker, Victor Osimhen.
Italian transfer expert, Fabrizio Romano, disclosed this on Thursday evening via a post on his official X account
“Al Hilal has submitted an official bid to Napoli for Victor Osimhen as top target.
The proposal is worth €65m fixed fee plus €5m add-ons, the decision is up to Napoli now,” Romano wrote.
“This follows the story that was revealed yesterday (Wednesday) on Al Hilal being in contact with Osimhen over salary/personal terms.”
Romano had said on Wednesday that Osimhen remained high on Al Hilal’s list as new striker with talks ongoing to bring in the Nigerian forward.
He added that with a €75m release clause available, Al Hilal were working on the player’s side after his signing had been approved by the club’s new manager, Simone Inzaghi.
The report also stated that Al Hilal was ready to offer the Super Eagles striker €30m salary per year.
Another report, however, emerged on Thursday, saying that Galatasaray was desperate to sign Osimhen on a permanent deal and had offered the Nigerian striker an annual salary of €15 million, including bonuses.
This was according to Turkish media sources who had reported that Galatasaray had initially tabled a yearly salary worth €12m before Osimhen.
Osimhen joined Galatasaray on loan from Napoli last summer and the Super Eagles striker went ahead to have a truly remarkable campaign with the Turkish club.
The 26-year-old scored 37 goals and contributed eight assists in 41 games across all competitions for Galatasaray, leading to club to win the Turkish Super Lig title and the Turkish Cup.
