Dimmed Remo Stars set to sparkle again as 3SC battle Lobi Stars

Still smarting from their 1-2 defeat by Enugu Rangers in the Nigerian Premier Football League (NPFL) last weekend, league leaders, Remo Stars are set to vent their spleen on Kwara United, in Ikenne.
Remo Stars’ march to their first NPFL title was given a slight dent by Enugu Rangers…at the weekend.

Still smarting from their 1-2 defeat by Enugu Rangers in the Nigerian Premier Football League (NPFL) last weekend, league leaders, Remo Stars are set to vent their spleen on Kwara United, in Ikenne.

The defeat in Enugu cut Remo Stars’ lead on the table to eight points above 3SC, which also lost to Heartland by 2-1 in Owerri. The 3SC are still second on the log with the defending champions, Enugu Rangers, rising to the third position, two points behind the Shooting Stars.

In the midweek games, Remo Stars will host Kwara United, 3SC are at home to Lobi Stars, El Kanemi will entertain Bendel Insurance, and fifth-placed Abia Warriors are at home to Enugu Rangers.

In Uyo, Akwa United are up against fourth-placed Rivers United, Yenagoa is the venue for the battle between Bayelsa United and Nasarawa United, just as Katsina United will entertain Enyimba at the Muhammadu Dikko Stadium.

In other matches, Niger Tornadoes and Heartland will battle in Minna, Sunshine Stars will host Kano Pillars in Ijebu Ode, while Ikorodu City are at home at the Mobolaji Johnson Arena, Onikan, where they will face Plateau United.
