Oyo State Governor, Seyi Makinde, has moved to strengthen Shooting Stars’ continental campaign by approving two buses for the Ibadan-based club following their impressive CAF Confederation Cup victory.

The buses, a 32-seater and an 18-seater, are expected to boost the team’s transportation and logistics as the Oluyole Warriors continue their continental campaign.

The governor’s approval followed Shooting Stars’ victory over Tunisia’s CS Sfaxien in the first leg of their CAF Confederation Cup preliminary-round tie at the MKO Abiola Stadium in Abeokuta.

The development comes as Shooting Stars make their first appearance in continental competition in 27 years, with the Oyo State Government pledging continued support for the club’s push for continental honours.

Makinde also expressed his commitment to helping the team sustain its momentum and revive the glory associated with the “Darling Club of Oyo State,” according to a statement by the state Commissioner for Information, Dotun Oyelade.
