…with massive points deduction
Manchester City are at the risk of being relegated from the Premier League into the Sky Bet Championship.
According to a report from the UK, the Citizens are set to be handed a “huge” points deduction that will keep them in the Championship for two years.
The report indicated that City are awaiting an outcome on their case against the Premier League after being found guilty of over 100 charges in relation to breaches of financial rules.
“Manchester City are reportedly set for a huge points deduction that will guarantee relegation,” the report read.
“Enzo Maresca’s side could be confined to the Championship for no fewer than two seasons.”
Man City are facing potential relegation from the Premier League after an independent commission found the club guilty of the vast majority of over 100 financial rule-breaking charges spanning the 2009–10 to 2017–18 seasons.
The Mancunians have always denied allegations of wrongdoing and launched an appeal against the independent commission’s findings.
But now UK tabloid, the Daily Mail has claimed that City are expected to be given a brutal points deduction that will guarantee relegation.
