Samajson to host European scouts in major talent hunt at Maracana
Samajson Sports Management & Football Club has announced the launch of its highly anticipated scouting programme, scheduled for the third week of next month. The event, taking place at Maracana Stadium in Ajegunle, is poised to be a significant milestone in the development of young football talents in Nigeria, as five European-based scouts representing over 30 clubs from Poland, the Czech Republic, Switzerland, and the Netherlands will be in attendance.
The scouting programme will take place at the iconic venue, with a focus on identifying and nurturing players between the ages of 18 and 23. Quality clubs from Lagos and Ibadan have been specially invited to participate in this prestigious event, providing a unique opportunity for young talents to showcase their skills to international scouts and secure pathways to professional football careers.
Speaking about the programme, the CEO of Samajson Sports Management & Football Club, Eke Samuel Uchenna highlighted the vision behind the initiative:
“This scouting programme is more than just an event; it’s a platform for young, talented players to bridge the gap between local leagues and the global stage. We are committed to creating opportunities for these players to shine and take their careers to the next level. The presence of top scouts from Europe reinforces our belief in the quality of Nigerian talents.”
In addition to the matches, the programme will include one-on-one sessions where players will receive feedback from scouts and technical staff. This initiative is part of Samajson Sports Management’s broader commitment to supporting grassroots football development and creating sustainable pathways for young players.
Football enthusiasts and stakeholders are encouraged to attend and witness the next generation of Nigerian football stars as they compete for opportunities to make their mark on the international stage. The event promises to be an exciting and impactful gathering for players, scouts, and football fans alike.
