The Koreans then took the lead in the 40th minute when Choi Minseo rose high to nod Lee Taeseok well taken corner kick into the net. The lead only lasted for a minute as the Golden Eaglets equalized when Olakunle Olusegun scrambled the ball into the net when the Koreans could not clear their lines.

In the second half, Monsur Abdulsalam and Divine Nwachukwu gave way for Akinkunmi Amoo and Jabaar Ibraheem to brig a new fillip into Nigeria’s game. And it worked as with five minutes remaining, Jabaar set up Olusegun, who made it 3-2 in the 86th minute.

The Eaglets saved the best goal for the last when Jabaar laid a pass for Charles Etim at the edge of the box and the defender hit the ball with a curly shot that sailed into the net to give Nigeria a 4-2 victory.
