Owerri ladies, Heartland Queens, will, today, continue their quest for a first-ever crown at the ongoing Betsy Obaseki Women’s Football Tournament (BOWFT) with a final group clash against Benin Republic champions, Aigle Royal d’Adjara, in the ancient city of Benin, Edo State.

The game will be held at the Western Boys High School, Benin City, starting from 10. 00 a.m. Prior to this epic clash, the Owerri landladies have been clinical at the yearly pre-season showpiece, keeping 100 per cent performances against NWFL championship sides, Fortress Ladies, and Delta Babes, while the Beninois lost their opening two games to Delta Babes and Fortress Ladies.

As group winners, Heartland Queens, are likely to face the runners-up in Group B, which will be either Beninois champions, Espoir FC de Cotonou, or NWFL Championship side, Brave Hearts. Former Nigerian champions, Bayelsa Queens, have already qualified for the quarterfinals as winners of Group B.
